Surveys have identified MADD Victim Impact Panels (VIP) as one of the most provoking and behavioral change agents of all the requirements of a DUI conviction. Those charged with a DWI/DUI listen to the stories of victims and their families to gain a better understanding of the impact of drunk driving and to deter future impaired driving.
Things that Matter:
- Since the start of MADD, the number of drunk driving deaths each year has been cut in half.
- MADD released their National Strategic Plan for 2015-2019 to save more lives and aid more victims.
- MADD’s mission is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support victims and prevent underage drinking.
While everyone knows drunk driving occurs when someone is under the influence of a drug, it is viewed as totally avoidable. These sessions are intended to bring the incredibly harmful and disastrous consequences to light. What is shared will have an impact on you…bring tissues.
