Will I have to wear a GPS device?

Yes, if serving a home detention sentence, you will be required to wear a GPS device that monitors your movements. 


How do I choose a GPS device?  

Use our marketplace to find GPS providers in your area. The device and service provider will need to be certified by the requiring authority.  


Do I have to pay for the GPS device?

Yes, you will be financially responsible for all costs related to daily monitoring.

What happens if I don’t comply with my requirements?

Although you do not have to spend time in jail, home detention should be treated just as seriously. Failing to comply with any of the conditions set by the court can result in further consequences.


Is home detention the same thing as house arrest?

Yes. Home detention is another term for house arrest.
